1962 - 1962 Chevrolet Chevy II Wagon B/FX

It would appear that Don made racing the station wagon a popular choice. Limited by tire size in the Factory Experimental classes, Don chose a station wagon with its favorable weight distribution to run in B/FX. The Chevy II was provided by Don Steves Chevrolet and was stuffed with a fuel injected 327 Corvette mill by using over the counter Chevrolet parts. Don raced the wagon at the NHRA Winternationals in 1962 and walked away with a class win, recording 12.50 times.
