The car that forever changed the face of Funny Car. To this day Funny Cars are built under the same basic guidelines. This was the first Funny Car to carry a full tube chassis and a flip-up fiberglass body. History notes this to be the first Funny Car to record a seven second time as Dyno accomplished the feat in September at Martin, Michigan where he ran a 7.96 time. Don’s phenomenal 98 percent win record saw him named to the years Hot Rod magazines Top 10 list, as well as being named Super Stock & Drag Illustrated Driver of the year. He retired the car shortly after winning the 1967 AHRA Winter Nationals.
