1969 - 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Boss 429 (Match Races)

In the fall of 1968 Ford’s Bunkie Knudsen commissioned the firm Kar Kraft to build a limited number of Boss 429 Mustangs. In total 859 cars were built for 1969 with another 500 and change built for 1970. Lincoln-Mercury’s head of performance, Emil Loeffler got on the wagon when he requested two Boss Cougars be built, one for Dyno and one for Ed Schartman.
